KERGIN B. BEDELL

Kergin represents entrepreneurs operating in regulated industries. His practice focuses on administrative law, regulatory compliance, and general business issues.

Kergin served as a Staff Attorney at the Texas Department of Insurance, and then as the Deputy Public Counsel at the Texas Office of Public Insurance Counsel. He has more than a decade of experience in insurance regulation. He has advised clients on the formation, acquisition, and sale of regulated entities, assisted with obtaining professional licenses, advised on state and federal insurance regulations, developed compliance programs, drafted and commented on legislation and rule proposals, and represented individuals, companies, and associations before the Texas Department of Insurance and the State Office of Administrative Hearings. Kergin has also counseled business owners on real estate issues, entity formation, and general business matters. 

Kergin graduated from Westminster College with a degree in Business Administration. He earned his law degree at the University of Maine where he was an editor for the Maine Law Review. Kergin is an avid baseball fan. He lives in Austin with his wife, Lorrie, and their two daughters.
